HIRING
Operations Manager
Archie’s Press
Archie’s Press, a design-forward paper goods company, is growing! We’re looking for an operations manager to help us get a solid footing and expand even farther.
The Job
You’ll grab our operational reins and transform them into a smooth, humming machine. From production to delivery, you’ll make sure everything has a process. With your help, the scale and dreams of this company will expand. You’ll continue to shape the growth of this company as new operational challenges appear — it will be your job to recognize those messes and own their organization.
About You
You answer the question “How.” How does (and should) everything in the business actually function? You are the most organized person in the room. You crave order, efficiency, and routine. You live in Google Calendar. You leave no stone unturned and know everything that’s going on. You love to see systems function thanks to the groundwork you’ve laid, and you love when other people follow them because it makes everyone’s day run smoother.
General Missions
• Engineer our inventory and production processes to keep us on schedule and product flowing.
• Set project goals and build a solid “how” to get there.
• Install automations wherever possible to expand your powers.
• Work one retail store shift per week — an opportunity to get off the computer, interact with our customers, and discover what they’re looking for.
Skills
Comfortable and competent with the following skills and programs:
• Excel
• Mailchimp or similar
• Inventory management and production planning
• Personable and friendly
• Very organized with attention to detail
• A planner — you can make a schedule/routine and stick to it.
Plusses
• Visual merchandising skills
• Retail sales
• Wholesale sales
• Product development
• Basic graphic design skills
Compensation
• Hourly wage based on experience: TBD.
• 4 days / 30 hours per week, plus health insurance (employer contribution TBD).
• In-person in the East Village. You’ll report to and work side-by-side with Archie Archambault, the owner.
